Royal Mail 2nd Class Delivery Changes

Royal Mail’s 2nd Class postage targets have changed.

As of July 2026 Royal Mail has changed the delivery time for 2nd Class postage to 3 working days.
Please plan your delivery accordingly, and only use 2nd class mail, if there is no urgency to receive your order.

Royal Mail C4 1st class

C4 sizes 32x23x2cm

Up to – 100g = £3.20
Up to – 250g = £3.30
Up to – 500g = £3.30

Target delivery time 1 to 2 Day (usually delivered next day) This is an aim, and not a guaranteed service.

Royal Mail C4 2nd class

C4 sizes 32x23x2cm

Up to – 100g = £1.55
Up to – 250g = £1.90
Up to – 500g = £2.40

Target delivery time 3 Working days (usually arrives later than quoted) This is an aim, and not a guaranteed service. If your order is time critical, please use another service.


Royal Mail C5 1st class

16.5 cm x 24 cm – 100g – £1.80

Royal Mail C5 2nd class

16.5 cm x 24 cm – 100g – £0.91

Royal Mail – Tracked 24 No Signature

  • Next working day delivery aim (This is not guaranteed so no claim can be made for the shipping fee for late deliveries, but the shipping fee can be claimed for lost deliveries after 7 working days).
  • Full tracking provided, SMS and email notifications.
  • Delivered Mon-Sat

Can be left in a Safeplace that can be added using the Royal mail app. (This cannot be added by us using the order notes)

Royal Mail – Tracked 48 No signature

  • Two working day delivery aim (This is not guaranteed so no claim can be made for the shipping fee for late deliveries, but the shipping fee can be claimed for lost deliveries after 7 working days)
  • Full tracking provided, SMS and email notifications
  • Can be left in a Safeplace that can be added using the Royal mail app. (This cannot be added by us using the order notes)
  • Delivered Mon-Sat


Royal Mail – Special Delivery Guaranteed Next day by 1pm

  • Delivered next day by 1pm (the full shipping fee can be claimed for both late and lost deliveries)
  • Full tracking provided, SMS and email notifications
  • Parcel cannot be left in a safe place and requires signature.
  • Delivered Mon-Sat.

DPD – Postage Options

DPD – Next day by 12pm (Not available for Northern Ireland)

DPD – Next day by 12pm (Not available for Northern Ireland)

  • Next working day by 12pm delivery aim. This is not guaranteed so for deliveries that arrive after 12pm or the following working day, only the difference between a Next day by 12 and standard Next day can be claimed which is currently £1.04. If a parcel is delivered 2+ working days late (i.e. on the 3rd day) then the full shipping cost can be claimed.
  • Lost parcels can be claimed for in full.
