Iron on Vinyl Transfers HTV is a specialty vinyl material used to decorate garments and other surfaces. It comes in sheets or rolls and is cut into designs using a vinyl cutter. After weeding away the excess vinyl, the design is heat-pressed onto the fabric.

[1] The Mirror Test: Is your design mirrored (flipped horizontally) in the software?
[2] Shiny Side Down: Is your HTV on the cutting mat with the shiny carrier sheet
facing down?
[3] The Test Cut: Did you do a small “test cut” to make sure your blade depth is
perfect for this specific vinyl?
[4] The Pre-Wash: If your garment is 100% cotton, has it been pre-washed to
account for shrinkage? (No fabric softener!)
[5] The Moisture Zap: Did you “pre-press” your garment for 5 seconds to
remove wrinkles and invisible steam?
